International Women’s Day 2020

Fashion, Beauty, Confidence, Empowerment, MAGIC Bodyfashion stands for many things, and we are the brand that screams By Women for Women! MAGIC is the body solutions brand specially made for women regardless of their age and size. All products are designed, developed and tested by women, so our slogan ‘By Women For Women’ could not be any truer!

This International Women’s Day, MAGIC celebrates all women. The main vision of MAGIC has always been the empowerment of women, which is why we have dedicated to create body solutions for women around the globe. At MAGIC, we feel that every woman should feel beautiful in her body and be confident about herself. Our collection of women’s underwear, shapewear and accessories aims to provide this confidence, comfort and support that will help women overcome any self-consciousness and insecurities about their body. Not just on Women’s Day, but also every other day of the year, we would like to encourage every woman out there to love herself and feel happy about the way she looks.

MAGIC’s office in Almelo, the Netherlands, is where the magic happens. This is where some amazing women come together to create these beautiful body solutions for other women out there. A lot of hard work goes into designing, innovating, creating and testing every product. Besides creating the products, they are also handling a lot of everyday tasks, helping MAGIC to move forward every day to become the one and only Total Body Solutions brand. MAGIC has been the body solutions brand for women for over 25 years now, and over the years it has seen continuous growth and a big part of the credit for MAGIC’s success goes to the women at MAGIC.

As the company is growing, the team is also expanding, and every year we are joined by some awesome new ladies.

The MAGIC team boasts very professional, smart and hardworking women who have brought a lot of talent and experience with them into MAGIC Bodyfashion. We are very proud to say that about seventy percent of our MAGIC team consists of women, and they are all doing amazing jobs. We have great sales representatives, marketing specialists, graphic designers, product specialists, warehouse staff, who are all women.

MAGIC’s team is led by a woman, our CEO and co-owner, Linda Leestemaker. Linda says, “When hiring new employees, we do not have a preference when it comes to genders, we aim to find the best candidate for the job. We also have some great men in the company, but since our products are very feminine focused, I do get inspired by women a lot. As a coincidence, we are joined by many women in the team and it must be because the brand really speaks to women. I really admire every single one of our team members, and without them we couldn’t be where we are today. I see that all employees work with great passion and they all want to make the best of MAGIC Bodyfashion. Everybody works really hard and I want to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all of them.”

When Linda, with her partner Marc, purchased the company in 2012, she aimed towards taking MAGIC to the next level, making it a bigger and better company. And it truly has been a successful 8 years so far! She dedicates this success to her biggest inspiration along the way, the women in her life; her daughters and her mother. With the best kind of support, you can do anything. She says, “These are the women closest to me in my life and they inspire me and support me in every way, personally and in my career. I am also motivated by everyone in and outside the company, and driven by the feedback I receive from women around the globe, to create and innovate. We are already a very inclusive brand, but I am always looking to create something new for women. I want to make sure everybody worldwide will be able to wear MAGIC Bodyfashion, and feel the confidence our products bring.”

At MAGIC, we are always striving for the best products, top design, ultimate level of comfort, best quality of fabric and beautiful colors. Who better to do that than a team of women who know what’s best for them? Therefore, the slogan ‘By Women for Women’ is very important to us and we will continue to keep it that way at MAGIC. We pride upon having such a great and diverse team of women at MAGIC, and the best part about it is that we can always count on everyone to come up with great ideas and product concepts. Currently we present a large range of collections that will have you covered for any occasion; a summer festival, a gala dinner, business casual or a comfy night-in, and from head to toe, literally! And they come in a wide range of sizes too!

As we mentioned earlier, we support women of all ages, sizes, and origin, which is why we also support organizations like Pink Ribbon, an organization that has been supporting women for many years to help fight their battles against breast cancer. This organization finances projects and research on treatment and aftercare of breast cancer. Their mission is to help those who suffer from and who have survived breast cancer to have a better life. For the ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ in October 2019, MAGIC has launched a special ‘Pink Ribbon’ edition of the Comfort Bra: one of the most comfy and popular bras in the collection. For every Pink Ribbon Comfort Bra sold, MAGIC donates €1 to the Pink Ribbon Organization.
